Mar 09, 2011  GarageBand turns your iPad, and iPhone into a collection of Touch Instruments and a full-featured recording studio — so you can make music anywhere you go. And with Live Loops, it makes it easy for anyone to have fun creating music like a DJ. Use Multi-Touch gestures to play keyboards, guitars, and create beats. GarageBand has been a breakthrough for aspiring Mac musicians. Thanks to its simplified interface and hard-to-beat price ($49 with Apple’s iLife ’04 suite), even novices can start recording. If your iPad supports facial recognition, you can add vibrato, resonance, or other changes to some keyboard sounds by moving your mouth while you play. Hold your iPad 10–20 inches (25–50 cm) away from your face and tap the Face Control button. The first time you use Face Control, GarageBand asks for permission to access the camera on your iPad.

With GarageBand for iPad, Apple is sending a different message: Yes, GarageBand is a tool for making music, but anyone—from musicians to tin-eared newbies—can use it. No talent required. Mar 10, 2019  1) Start or stop a song. 2) Switch off individual pedals in an amp set-up. 3) Switch between tracks within a song. I know about the iRig Blueboard, but my understanding is it has limited functionality with Garageband.
